The NewBridge Philosophy

NewBridge on the Charles is sponsored by Hebrew SeniorLife, a respected name in
senior living and an internationally recognized leader in geriatric research, training
and education. This multi-generational campus serves as a model campus for seniors everywhere.

The NewBridge philosophy is to never stop learning. One of the core missions is to provide
new and innovative ways to learn, grow, have fun and be creative. "To create an optimal
living environment is all about choice and opportunity. The freedom to choose the activities
you love most, as well as the opportunity to try something different and challenge yourself
in new endeavors."

NewBridge on the Charles is about:

  • A multigenerational campus - providing an opportunity for children and older
adults to know each other, learn from each other and respect each other.

  • Creating an optimal living environment - providing an active senior lifestyle
with supportive services on-site, including a full continuum of wellness and
healthcare services to address the "whole person" and integrate the physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions of aging.

  • Choices for seniors - choices that will enrich and enhance the lives of its residents; choices that will provide active, healthy and fulfilling lifestyles for seniors who seek a high quality of life in a prime location.

  • Sensitivity to the environment - a commitment to sustainable environmental design. 100 of the 162 acres are environmentally protected for future generations. The campus was built with:a rainwater collection system for irrigation. There is a geothermal system to heat the community. Green roofs, low impact design for pavements, and
plentiful gardens are evidence of NewBridge's commitment to the environment.
